Role
Manager, Technical Product Management within Optum AI responsible for leading capability-level product outcomes by converting customer and business needs into actionable product features, prioritizing roadmaps and driving delivery in collaboration with engineering and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive feature and capability planning aligned to product strategy, roadmap, and OKRs
- Partner with engineering to define requirements, user stories, and backlog priorities
- Translate customer insights into product enhancements and manage prioritization/trade-offs across UX, business, operations, and technical constraints
- Collaborate with business, technology, design, and delivery stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery
- Support Agile product delivery processes and DevOps practices
- Lead cross-functional meetings and influence capability outcomes
- Monitor budgets, roadmap execution, and product performance metrics; use data to inform prioritization
- Mentor junior product team members and contribute to hiring and talent development
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 10+ years overall experience with the most recent 5+ years in product management, including capability or feature-level leadership
- Experience with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles
- Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA, Aha!, Rally, GitHub and DevOps practices
- Understanding of product roadmaps, backlog management, and feature prioritization
- Knowledge of end-to-end solution architecture, data flows, and integration concepts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering AI/ML, Generative AI, or data-driven products
- Experience with cloud-native delivery on Azure / Optum Cloud, including data pipelines and platform integration
- Experience supporting AI products from POC through delivery and adoption
- Experience with vibe coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex
- Familiarity with Python, React, NodeJS, LLMs, and UX tools like Figma and Sketch
- Domain knowledge of U.S. healthcare (payer/provider) or life-sciences ecosystems
- Familiarity with Responsible AI, model governance, and AI governance/privacy/legal review processes
