Role
Manager Technology (CTV / mCanvas) responsible for hands-on technical leadership and architecture of core AdTech platforms, with a focus on Connected TV (CTV), programmatic bidding, SDKs and AI-driven creative tooling. The role combines high-level strategic ownership of technical roadmaps with active coding and delivery responsibilities across the SDLC.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build high-availability, low-latency ad-serving systems capable of handling very high QPS.
- Lead R&D and technical roadmap for CTV/video advertising, including ORTB/VAST/VPAID integration and interactive CTV formats and SDKs for platforms like Roku, Tizen, WebOS, Android TV and Apple tvOS.
- Drive AI strategy for creative optimization, engagement prediction and targeting enhancement.
- Implement and personally contribute production-quality code for core modules, protocol implementations (OpenRTB, VAST parsers) and SDK updates.
- Own delivery pipeline, coding standards, automated testing and CI/CD processes.
- Design RTB algorithms to optimize fill rates and yield across Web, Mobile and CTV.
- Ensure data pipeline integrity with GDPR/CCPA and privacy-first targeting methods.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Operations, Design and Creative teams; occasionally interface with clients/partners.
- Hire, mentor and retain engineering talent; manage technology budget and cloud costs; maintain operational excellence and high system uptime (target ~99.9%).
Requirements
Experience
- 8-10+ years in software engineering with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership/engineering manager role.
- Deep domain knowledge of AdTech (DSP, SSP, DMP, RTB/OpenRTB, VAST/VPAID, Header Bidding).
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in two or more core languages: Python, Golang, PHP or Node.js; able to pass a live coding interview and commit production code.
- Strong CTV and video ad ecosystem knowledge (VAST, VPAID, SIMID).
- In-depth understanding of OpenRTB (ORTB) protocols (2.x and 3.0) and bid request/response debugging.
- Experience building and documenting lightweight, high-performance SDKs / apps for CTV platforms (Roku, Tizen, WebOS, Android TV, Apple tvOS).
- Data technologies: MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, BigQuery, BigTable.
- AI/ML exposure: TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenAI APIs integration experience.
- High-scale systems design for low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems.
- Front-end knowledge relevant to rich media: HTML5, WebGL, Sensors APIs.
- Cloud and DevOps: AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with vibe coding/spec-driven coding and using AI tools to optimize the development lifecycle.

- Strategic vision, strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and strong mentoring ability.
Education
- B.Tech / M.Tech / B.E / M.E from a reputed engineering institute (IITs, NITs, IIITs or similar) preferred.
