Role
SSOE is hiring a mid-level Mechanical Designer to develop mechanical designs and BIM models for industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities. The role centers on producing Revit-based models, construction documents, equipment schedules, and system diagrams while coordinating with multi-discipline teams to ensure design integrity and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet project requirements and client expectations.
- Create and maintain Revit models for mechanical systems including piping, plumbing, exhaust, HVAC ducting, chillers, boilers, and other mechanical components.
- Generate construction documents, mechanical plans, equipment schedules, and system diagrams using Revit.
- Participate in BIM coordination and multi-discipline clash detection/resolution using tools such as Navisworks.
- Maintain BIM model quality and consistency according to BIM execution plans, company Revit standards, and modeling best practices.
- Lead design development for industrial and domestic piping, process systems, fire protection, motor control, process chemicals, and related mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Project Managers, and other discipline teams to address design challenges and ensure package requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field required; BIM/Revit coursework or certifications are a plus.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience with Revit-based mechanical modeling and BIM coordination workflows.
- Required experience with clash detection and coordination tools such as Navisworks.
- Proficiency in Revit is required; AutoCAD proficiency preferred; experience with PIPE-FLO or similar mechanical analysis tools is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in English for collaboration with local and international teams; willingness to work evening hours to coordinate with U.S. teams.

Work Schedule & Location
