Role
Boeing is hiring a Mid-Level DevOps Developer to join the team responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining the pipeline for Boeing’s next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) application. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying PLM infrastructure and pipelines to support a global development organization.
Locations
Everett, WA; North Charleston, SC; Salt Lake City, UT; Seal Beach, CA (US-based).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that deliver Boeing’s PLM application.
- Build and manage EC2 environments and related AWS services.
- Connect system behavior, log files, and application components to determine root causes of issues and participate in root cause analysis.
- Engage with information security/compliance teams to address compliance requirements proactively.
- Collaborate with developers to deliver high-quality solutions for complex Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Participate in design and development of infrastructure operations pipeline to support a global development team.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with Linux OS (RHEL), command line, shell scripting, RPM packaging, Apache/Tomcat, and network protocol/tracing.
- 3+ years of experience with AWS (EC2 build/deploy/maintenance, Route53, Auto Scaling Groups, Application Load Balancers, IAM roles/profiles).
- 3+ years of experience with Ansible (playbooks, ansible-pull, roles).
- 3+ years of experience with GitLab (branch management, pipelines, merging, conflict resolution).
- 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity practices and tools (examples listed include red team, penetration testing, Splunk, SANS, MITRE, SOC, compliance).
- 3+ years troubleshooting infrastructure issues and performing root cause analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with “vibe coding” (listed as a preferred skill).
- Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Python and Go programming experience.
- Experience with Docker (client, images, containers).
Pay & Benefits
- Summary pay range: $108,800 - $157,550 (pay based on experience, qualifications, market and business considerations).
