Role
We are hiring a software developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable line-of-business SaaS applications that integrate AI capabilities. The role emphasizes production-ready backend systems, clean architecture, and pragmatic use of LLMs and AI APIs to drive meaningful product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data models for SaaS products
- Ensure system performance, reliability, security, observability, and logging
- Integrate AI capabilities via LLMs and AI APIs to enable features such as workflow automation, summarization, data extraction, classification, and intelligent search
- Monitor usage, performance, and cost of AI-powered features and optimize accordingly
- Contribute to service-oriented or microservice architectures and optimize database performance
- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into software solutions
- Continuously refine, refactor, and iterate on product capabilities; ship incrementally and respond to real-world feedback
Requirements
- Strong experience building and maintaining production SaaS applications
- Solid backend development skills and experience with APIs and database integration
- Experience integrating third-party APIs, including AI/LLM services
- Experience crafting AI models and AI agents to accomplish real-world tasks
- Understanding of software architecture and system design, including scalability and observability
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Pragmatic mindset: apply AI where it creates business value
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, solution-oriented environment
Preferred (not required)
- Experience with PHP or .Net development stacks
- Experience with MySQL or Oracle database engines
- Experience with microservice architecture
- Experience building or maintaining vertical SaaS or B2B products
- Experience working in small, high-ownership teams
