CapTech is hiring a MuleSoft Architect to design and deliver enterprise integration and API solutions for client engagements. The role focuses on MuleSoft 4.x architecture, API design, integrations across enterprise systems, and technical leadership including mentoring, solution design, and pre-sales support.
Job Description
Role
MuleSoft Architect responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable enterprise integration and API solutions in a consulting environment. Work across the full SDLC using Agile practices, partner with clients and cross-functional teams, and act as a trusted technical advisor and mentor.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members and clients to define and deliver technical solutions that meet client needs
- Deliver MuleSoft solutions across the full SDLC using Agile methodologies
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor, aligning architecture with business goals and managing architectural scope
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and create quality deliverables
- Contribute to architectural standards, best practices, and reusable accelerators
- Mentor architects and developers through reviews, communities of practice, and knowledge sharing
- Participate in technical pre-sales activities including solution design, estimations, and delivery scoping
- Gain exposure to a variety of clients, industries, and business models
Requirements
- 10+ years software development experience
- Experience with MuleSoft 4.x at an architectural level and project experience with MuleSoft integrations
- Experience creating Mule applications in Anypoint Studio and publishing APIs to Anypoint Exchange
- Ability to design APIs and familiarity with RAML
- Applied knowledge of API development using REST and/or SOAP
- Extensive knowledge of integration patterns and integrating enterprise applications (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Oracle ERP)
- Familiarity with microservice architectures, design patterns, monitoring tools, and serverless/event-driven integrations
- Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise security practices
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (CapTech cannot sponsor visas for this role)
Preferred / Additional Experience
- Experience with cloud providers (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP)
- Experience with LLMs in production (e.g., GPT, Claude, Mistral) and prompt engineering
- Experience with MCP, RAG, agentic AI architectures, conversational UX, and prompt evaluation metrics
- Experience with agentic frameworks and tooling (langchain, n8n, pydantic, etc.)
- Practical experience with vibe coding and multi-agent systems
