Role
SSOE Group is seeking a Mechanical/Piping Designer based in Mumbai to support industrial and process plant projects. The role focuses on producing P&ID CAD (AutoCAD 2D) deliverables and providing basic 3D equipment and piping design support using Plant3D, collaborating with international project teams and US stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret P&ID markups and produce accurate P&ID CAD drawings following drafting best practices.
- Perform basic equipment modeling and piping design in 3D software (Plant3D).
- Multi-task across multiple projects while delivering work on schedule and within budget.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with dispersed project teams, including US-based stakeholders.
- Work independently and collaborate within small, multidisciplinary project teams.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in P&ID CAD creation and piping design within industrial or process plant environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for P&IDs.
- Basic knowledge of Plant3D for equipment modeling and piping design.
- Exposure to MicroStation preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English; ability to work evening hours to coordinate with US stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative, leadership potential, and adaptability.
