PMC: Senior DevOps Engineer

Role

We are hiring an AI-first Senior DevOps Engineer to join the CloudOps team to build and maintain cloud infrastructure that powers media applications and to lead integration of AI-powered tools into DevOps workflows. The role involves owning tasks from investigation through development and deployment and improving development workflows, deployment efficiency, and operational excellence with AI-assisted automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud platform for repeatability, reliability, and cost efficiency using AI-powered resource analysis.
• Design and maintain scalable infrastructure with Terraform to support WordPress, Laravel, Python, and ad-tech systems.
• Manage containerized applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments to AWS Fargate and ECS.
• Create intelligent automation workflows using AI-powered tools to reduce manual operational overhead.
• Proactively identify system and process improvements using AI-assisted analysis and anomaly detection.
• Maintain system patching, health monitoring, and security using tools like New Relic and Datadog, with AI-supported detection.
• Implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including AI-assisted recovery planning.
• Support break/fix scenarios and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering experience with strong knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure automation.
• 3+ years with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and container orchestration platforms (Docker, ECS/Fargate).
• 2+ years of Linux system administration, shell scripting, and experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog).
• 1+ year working with AI coding assistants and AI-powered development workflows (examples: Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Programming experience in scripting languages (bash) and familiarity with microservices architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, database administration (MySQL/Aurora, PostgreSQL, Redis), and disaster recovery planning.
