Role
Salesforce seeks a Portfolio Leader (Builder People Lead) to directly manage and grow a blended delivery team of Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Strategists who deploy Agentforce solutions inside complex enterprise environments. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on engineering excellence, technical escalation, and scaling production AI deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead capacity planning, talent acquisition, staffing, mentorship, and career development for cross-functional squads.
- Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point for portfolio deployments, maintaining architectural judgment across the Salesforce platform, advanced LLM techniques, data pipelines, and agentic orchestration.
- Drive operational velocity by monitoring delivery metrics, unblocking escalations, and ensuring teams move from design to production quickly.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Services, and Account Success to convert field insights into product improvements and accelerate customer adoption.
- Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships to ensure successful Agentforce activation, rollout, and sustained production value.
Requirements
- 4+ years of direct people management or high-impact technical leadership steering cross-functional engineering or technical teams.
- Deep technical expertise in AI/LLMs, enterprise software implementation, data modeling, API integration, and production AI deployments.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and the Agentforce platform or demonstrable experience architecting and deploying comparable enterprise AI/data platforms.
- Strong executive communication and customer engagement skills for high-touch global enterprise accounts.
- Strong problem-solving, resourcefulness, and a bias toward shipping production code and systems.
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on experience building multi-agent systems, prompt engineering pipelines, or deterministic AI guardrails.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
- Relevant Salesforce certifications (Advanced Admin, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Agentforce Specialist).
