Job Description
Role
As Principal Product Designer you will own the design vision and interaction architecture for a product area, define patterns and coherence across features and releases, and lead end-to-end design from ambiguous problems to shipped outcomes. You will partner with Product and Engineering leadership as a strategic equal, influence roadmap and investment priorities, and drive design quality and consistency through critique, reviews, and direct contribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Set design direction for a product area and define interaction architecture and patterns.
- Lead end-to-end design: frame problems, align stakeholders, design solutions, and measure outcomes.
- Solve complex cross-functional product challenges with strategic foresight and systems thinking.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership on roadmap and architectural trade-offs.
- Drive design consistency across teams and connect product-area patterns to the global design system.
- Mentor senior and mid-level designers, raising craft and shaping problem-framing approaches.
- Translate business goals into design investment priorities and advocate for design-informed decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, systems-level craft, and shipped impact in enterprise or B2B SaaS.
- Proven ability to own design direction for a product area, set vision, and align cross-functional stakeholders.
- Mastery of complex enterprise interaction design: workflows, data-dense operational interfaces, role-based experiences, and cross-product patterns.
- Strong Figma proficiency and deep fluency with design systems, including token architecture and governance.
- AI fluency beyond tooling: ability to shape team use of AI in the design process and design for AI-native products.
- Strategic communication skills and experience presenting design rationale to senior leadership.
- Track record of elevating teams through mentorship and quality standards.
Preferred / Differentiators
- Hands-on practice with vibe coding or agent-assisted development to build functional prototypes and validate ideas in code.
- Deep understanding of AI infrastructure relevant to product design (e.g., MCP, agent orchestration, context management) and experience designing experiences where AI agents act on behalf of users.
- A developed perspective on how AI changes design discipline and pragmatic, experimental disposition (ship to learn).
- Experience designing for manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, retail operations, or similarly complex operational domains.

- Internal mobility and mentorship programs; free LinkedIn Learning licenses.
- Education support programs (geographically specific).
