About the Role
Trulioo is hiring a Principal Product Designer to lead end-to-end design for multi-platform identity verification experiences, using AI-assisted design tools to create cohesive, scalable workflows and prototypes. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Mount Pleasant, Vancouver requiring in-office presence three days per week.

Role
Trulioo is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead product design for its identity verification platform. The role focuses on creating cohesive, multi-platform experiences across dashboards, mobile, and cross-platform workflows, with an emphasis on AI-assisted design and scalable design systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design for identity solution products across web and mobile.
- Apply user-centered practices: discovery, problem framing, journey mapping, iterative refinement.
- Translate complex verification and onboarding workflows into clear interaction patterns, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity implementation-ready designs.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to explore, validate, and deliver solutions.
- Use data, customer insights, and research to inform design decisions.
- Proactively identify gaps, elevate opportunities, and contribute to product patterns and experience foundations for consistency and scalability.
- Present and communicate design rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
- Mentor and elevate other designers on the team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Designer with a portfolio demonstrating multi-platform and mobile work.
- Proficiency in UX, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping.
- Experience designing complex, multi-step workflows or data-rich interfaces.
- Strong collaboration experience working closely with Engineering and Product teams.
- Demonstrated ability to apply user-centered and research-informed design practices.
- Expert-level proficiency with Figma, including components, variants, and auto-layout for scalable design systems.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Vibe Coding or similar) to accelerate exploration and prototyping.
- Proactive ownership and ability to drive initiatives independently.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada and ability to work onsite in the Vancouver office (hybrid model).
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, identity verification, risk, compliance, or B2B SaaS.
- Experience leading workshops, discovery sessions, or cross-functional alignment activities.
- Background designing both internal tools and customer-facing products.
- Experience contributing to design systems and product foundations.
- Skills in motion graphics or micro-interaction design (animated prototypes, motion-enhanced UI flows).
Location & Working Model
This is a full-time hybrid position based out of the Mount Pleasant office in Vancouver; staff typically work three days per week onsite.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation Range: CA$140,000 - CA$190,000.
