Role
The Principal Solution Engineer (Financial Services) is a senior, customer-facing technologist who aligns business strategy to multi-product Salesforce solutions across banking, insurance, wealth management, capital markets, and lending. You will act as a trusted advisor and the technical “front door” for IT, partnering with Account Executives and cross-functional teams to develop solution architectures, run demos and POCs, and drive consensus with technical and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to define and recommend multi-product Salesforce solutions for complex accounts.
- Discover and analyze customer business needs, translate ambiguous problems into opportunity sets and practical next steps.
- Develop AI & data strategy POVs, including Context Architecture for AI (RAG, grounding, real-time data pipelines), Agentic AI Governance, and Hybrid (human + autonomous) architectures.
- Run customer-facing hands-on workshops and execute POCs.
- Create executive and business-level demos and rapid prototypes, customizing solutions for multiple personas.
- Leverage agentic coding solutions (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) to build custom demos and prototypes.
- Drive solution evaluation (build vs. buy), gain consensus among C-level and IT stakeholders, and lead cross-functional solution guides.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, Business Technology, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of professional experience in technology, consulting, solution engineering, sales engineering, software development, business analysis, or related fields.
- Understanding of enterprise software applications, cloud technologies, databases, APIs, and web technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams in fast-paced, customer-facing environments and travel as required.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies including AI, automation, and modern cloud platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles (Solution/Sales Engineering, Consulting, Architecture, Customer Success, or Software Development).
- Proven architecture, solution engineering, or consulting experience in Financial Services, including familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, FINRA, SEC) and domain concepts (KYC/AML, loan origination).
- Hands-on experience with agentic code solutions (Claude Code, Gemini, NotebookLM, Cursor, Codex, Agentforce Vibes).
- Salesforce certifications or prior solution/sales engineering experience for a CRM company.
- Experience building, implementing, or administering enterprise software.
