Role
Principal Technologist responsible for developing and delivering AI & Automation learning programmes. The role combines domain subject-matter expertise with curriculum design, workshop facilitation, and product-direction input for Decoded’s AI & Automation offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the domain SME for AI and Automation, maintaining expertise in LLMs, agentic orchestration, and low-code ecosystems.
- Design and develop curriculum that bridges manual business processes and automated reasoning, including technical blueprints for automation.
- Champion the “Vibe Coding” methodology and teach AI-assisted development practices for generating, auditing, and securing Python and JavaScript snippets.
- Deliver high-impact virtual workshops and hands-on labs, providing real-time technical troubleshooting and ensuring high learner engagement.
- Mentor and upskill the delivery team, manage high-stakes technical conversations with senior stakeholders, and contribute to product direction and commercial strategy.
- Ensure content meets deadlines, aligns with customer requirements, and is continuously updated based on learner feedback and market shifts.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in technical facilitation and teaching, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record designing and delivering technical learning content in AI, Automation, or Digital Transformation.
- Deep experience in AI automation and process redesign, combining business process analysis with implementation of automated workflows.
- Technical proficiency in Python and JavaScript for extending automation tools and managing API integrations.
- Advanced knowledge of low-code/no-code ecosystems (e.g., Power Platform, Zapier, n8n) and automation orchestration patterns.
- Expertise in AI-assisted development workflows including prompt engineering and LLM evaluation frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and mentorship skills.
Team & Reporting
Reports to the Portfolio Director in the Product Department. Role contributes to product direction and works closely with Product teams.
Success Metrics
- Regular delivery of high-quality learning engagements.
- Development of learning content to agreed deadlines and scope of work.
- Learners able to apply techniques in their professional environment.
- Target onboarding metrics: autonomous workshop management and content delivery within 3 months, learner feedback score +8/10, facilitation KPI score 75%.
Working Pattern & Location
- Role can be delivered fully remote (requires reliable internet and availability up to 2 hours +/- GMT). Decoded’s Shoreditch office is available for non-workshop work.
- Standard working hours 9:00–17:00. Occasional travel to learners’ workplaces, particularly in London and across Europe, may be required.
