Role
ATOM Trainer (external contractor) delivering a repeatable, immersive one-week training program to engineering teams across S&P Global. The trainer is the face of the programme for each cohort, responsible for delivering virtual sessions, refining content, and ensuring the classroom experience connects to follow-on coaching and organisational best practices.
Engagement & Logistics

- Start date: April 2026 (training starts May 2026)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver ATOMβs internally designed, immersive 1-week baseline training virtually across multiple cohorts.
- Run the same core programme repeatedly, incorporating learner feedback and coach observations to improve delivery.
- Teach teams to work across the SDLC with AI agents, covering foundation, planning, building, quality & security, and team ways of working.
- Evolve training content using a durable vs perishable learning model and stay current with rapidly changing tools.
- Partner with ATOM enablement and the SDLC Centre of Excellence to align training with internal technology strategy.
Week One Curriculum (overview)
- Day 1 β Foundation: Working with AI agents, context engineering, delegation, Copilot modes.
- Day 2 β Planning: Grounding AI output, reviewing AI-generated plans, token consumption, drafting user stories.
- Day 3 β Building: Evaluating generated code for clarity, correctness, security; handling agent failure modes.
- Day 4 β Quality & Security: Briefing agents on bugs, test quality, agent access boundaries, human escalation.
- Day 5 β Team Ways of Working: AI adoption retrospectives, AI-powered sprint practices, AI Champion role.

- Solid background in modern software development and SDLC practices.

Nice to Have
- Experience training, mentoring or coaching engineers professionally.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants or agent-based development workflows.
