Job Description
Role
As a Product Associate at Leap Finance you will partner closely with Product Managers and founders to identify user problems and business opportunities, own smaller product pods over time, and drive execution end-to-end. This is an ownership-heavy, hands-on product role (not a shadowing role) that involves shipping features, running experiments, and iterating based on user and behavioural data.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with PMs, founders, engineering, design, growth, and business teams to scope and ship features
- Speak to users regularly to develop deep understanding of behaviour, motivations, and pain points
- Write product requirement documents (PRDs), user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria
- Design and run experiments across the user journey to improve activation, engagement, retention, and conversion
- Analyze product metrics, funnels, and behavioural data to inform decisions
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product gaps and opportunities
- Support end-to-end launches including testing, feedback collection, go-to-market coordination, and post-launch analysis
- Take increasing ownership of product modules and drive execution with minimal hand-holding
Requirements
- ~6 months to 1 year of experience in product, strategy, growth, consulting, analytics, startup roles, or similar fast-moving environments
- Demonstrated ownership through multiple internships, startup work, side projects, freelancing, or campus initiatives
- Strong curiosity about consumer internet products, user psychology, technology, and business
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and moving quickly without perfectly defined instructions
- Strong communication, structured thinking, and the ability to simplify complex ideas
- Data-informed decision making and basic familiarity with product metrics and funnels
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high agency, and bias for action
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience working with product, engineering, design, marketing, or growth teams
- Experience building projects, experimenting with AI tools or “vibe coding”, and shipping internet projects
Working environment
- Fast-paced startup culture valuing resourcefulness, bias for action, continuous learning, and a growth mindset. The company emphasizes resilience, initiative, and a builder/operator mentality.
