Product Designer (Design+Code/Vibe Coding) - TikTok UX (San Jose)

Role

Product Designer for TikTok UX (San Jose) responsible for designing intuitive mobile and web product experiences and converting concepts into interactive prototypes or lightweight implementations using coding and AI-assisted tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build intuitive product experiences for mobile and web.
• Prototype with code and AI tools (e.g., Vibe Coding, AI coding assistants) to create interactive, testable prototypes.
• Translate product concepts into functional experiences to reduce the gap between design exploration and production.
• Identify opportunities to improve user experience across social interaction, content creation, and AI-driven workflows.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to define direction and ship high-quality experiences.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of product design experience for mobile or web products.
• Strong visual and interaction design skills.
• Ability to code prototypes or lightweight product features (examples listed: HTML/CSS/JS, React, Swift, or similar).
• Experience using AI coding tools or Vibe Coding workflows.
• Strong product thinking and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building production-quality UI or shipping side projects.
• Experience with AI-driven product experiences or agent-based workflows.
• Experience working on social products or creator tools.
• Passion for TikTok and creator communities.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range stated for the selected city: $103,680 - $230,280 annually.
• Role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
