About the Role
Design consumer-facing location and privacy-sensitive experiences for Apple's Find My product, collaborating with engineers and product managers to ship features used by millions. Drive end-to-end product design, prototyping (including vibe-coding), and scalable design system work across iOS and macOS.
Job Description
Role
As a Product Designer on the Find My team you will design and iterate on location-based, privacy-sensitive features that help users locate devices and share location. You will work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment to deliver end-to-end design solutions that scale to hundreds of millions of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product design for new features across mobile and desktop platforms.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other disciplines (hardware, privacy, accessibility) throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, motion and micro-interactions, and interactive prototypes.
- Contribute to and extend a mature design system to ensure scalable, consistent experiences.
- Operate effectively in ambiguous, early-stage problem spaces and iterate quickly based on feedback and testing.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership on shipped products.
- Proven ability to communicate concepts and design decisions via sketches, high-fidelity comps, vibe-coding, prototypes, and presentations.
- Experience designing for iOS and/or macOS with a strong understanding of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability to create user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups across mobile and web platforms.
- Strong systems thinking and experience working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing location-based, mapping, or privacy-sensitive features.
- Experience with hardware–software integration or companion app/IoT accessory experiences.
- Background in motion design or micro-interaction design for spatial/location-based UIs.
- Prior experience shipping features to very large consumer bases (100M+ users).
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and designing inclusive experiences.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay range: $181,100 to $272,100 (range provided by employer).
- Eligibility for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and participation in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
