Role
Propeller is seeking a Product Designer to join the Drone and Processing squads to lead design for handheld and 360 scanning mobile experiences. The role focuses on shaping early-stage product decisions, designing at the intersection of software and hardware, and improving workflows with AI and rapid prototyping techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design for early-stage product features and mobile experiences.
- Define user flows, interaction patterns, and system-level design alongside engineers, product managers, and customer teams.
- Conduct independent user research, synthesize insights, and drive product strategy and adoption.
- Maintain and evolve consistency within the established design system and champion continuous product polish.
- Use AI tooling and vibe coding for rapid prototyping and incremental UI/UX updates.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working on a technical product with a record of designing solutions for complex software problems.
- Experience collaborating in embedded product squads and communicating effectively with engineers and product managers.
- Proven experience designing delightful mobile-first solutions and thinking from a system-level perspective.
- Comfortable conducting customer research and iterating based on feedback.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and adapt to evolving technologies in AI and construction tech.
