Job Description
Role
Rakuten Viber is hiring a Senior Product Designer to own end-to-end design for Viber Pay and related financial product flows inside the Viber mobile app. The role is based in the London office and involves close collaboration with product and engineering in the UK and day-to-day work with the design team in Israel. The team is actively integrating AI into design practice and product experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full design process: discovery, research, prototyping, testing, and final design delivery
- Own design for financial flows that require high clarity and trust (sending/receiving money, wallet onboarding, transaction history, identity verification)
- Use AI tools across research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and workflow automation; help shape AI-driven product features
- Conduct hands-on research including user interviews and usability tests, and analyze product data and analytics
- Contribute to and evolve the shared design system across Viber products
- Keep design work aligned with product KPIs and business outcomes; participate in cross-functional rituals and leadership feedback loops
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience in B2C mobile products, ideally in fintech, payments, or digital wallets
- Demonstrated ownership from problem framing through shipping
- Data-driven: able to dig into data and analytics independently and use metrics to inform design decisions
- Strong UX craft and attention to detail (microcopy, edge cases, error states, micro-interactions)
- Experience designing regulated or compliance-adjacent flows (identity verification, onboarding, transaction limits)
- Comfortable running independent research, participating in design critiques, and collaborating across locations
- Clear written and verbal communication with product, engineering, and leadership
