Product Engineer working on mobile gaming experiences at justDice. You’ll own features end-to-end, ship with a small team and minimal process, and use AI coding tools as the primary development workflow. The role emphasizes technical expertise combined with product curiosity and a focus on user retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Own feature development end-to-end: scoping, building, shipping, and iterating.
- Maintain and extend existing codebases with attention to quality and speed.
- Use AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) as a primary development workflow to increase productivity.
- Identify gaps or ambiguities in requirements and write lightweight specifications when needed.
- Read and interpret product metrics to assess feature performance.
- Contribute technical perspectives to product discussions and drive outcomes.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of full‑stack development experience with shipped products.
- Frontend: React Native is required.
- Backend: Golang is preferred.
- Experience with both backend and frontend engineering is mandatory.
- Daily fluency with at least one AI coding tool and a track record of using it to ship product improvements.
- Strong product curiosity: you evaluate whether features work and propose what to build next.
- Comfort working in a small team with minimal process; ability to create your own structure.
Preferred / Nice-to-have
- Experience in gaming, consumer apps, or products focused on user retention.
- Prior exposure to product thinking (owning a roadmap, writing PRDs, running side projects).
