Product Engineer (Full stack), Shared Services Platform - Miami
Uses agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Replit Agent) and builds AI agent surfaces and prompt engineering—directly involves vibe coding and AI-assisted development.
About the Role
Product Engineer (Full Stack) on the Shared Services platform in Miami, responsible for closing operational platform tickets and shipping durable product fixes. Own end-to-end features, build AI agent surfaces and prompt engineering, and work closely with Operations, Product, and Design to improve workflows for a hospitality-focused system.
Job Description
Role
Product Engineer (Full Stack) on the Shared Services platform. You’ll sit close to Operations to triage and resolve agent-facing issues, ship quick fixes when appropriate, and identify and implement systemic product solutions. You will own features end-to-end, including design, backend, frontend, instrumentation, rollout, and follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage, diagnose, and ship fixes for incoming platform tickets from agents, team leads, and operations.
- Identify patterns in recurring issues and build long-term product solutions to eliminate systemic problems.
- Own feature development end-to-end: problem framing, design collaboration, backend and frontend implementation, instrumentation, rollout, and post-launch follow-up.
- Build AI product surfaces: prompt and agent architecture, tool calling, retrieval, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop escape hatches.
- Develop and maintain evaluation/regression suites for AI features and platform behavior.
- Monitor real usage (session replays, logs, transcripts, tickets, calls) and convert findings into shipped changes.
- Improve team velocity through CI, preview environments, internal tools, seed data, and debugging surfaces.
- Maintain quality and UX details: latency budgets, token cost, error copy, loading behavior, and accessibility of workflows.
- Collaborate with founders, product, and design at the whiteboard stage to prioritize what to build.
What This Role Is Not
- Not a pure ticket-queue firefighter; focus is on shipping product solutions, not only closing tickets.
- Not a separate or shadow engineering team; work is within Engineering and follows product/design review processes.
Requirements
Required Experience
- 4+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, with stronger emphasis on backend development and shipping production enterprise software.
- Direct experience building internal tools, agent-facing platforms, or operational systems.
- Product mindset: comfortable scoping problems, asking the right questions, and communicating/prioritizing tradeoffs.
- Track record of shipping quickly while working within product and design processes.
- Experience working asynchronously with distributed teams.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong fluency in TypeScript.
- Experience with: Next JS, NestJS, TypeORM with Postgres, and BullMQ.
- Comfortable with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Replit Agent).
- API integration experience (REST, webhooks, third-party SaaS APIs).
- Prompt engineering experience with production AI systems (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).
Strongly Preferred
- Experience building tools for contact centers, customer support, or operations teams.
- Domain knowledge in short-term rental, hospitality, or property management.
- Track record of deploying AI agents in production.
Working Context
- Reports to Head of Engineering; priorities set jointly with Head of Operations; product and design decisions flow through respective leads.
- Weekly syncs with Engineering, Operations, and Product.
- Miami-based; in-office 4 days per week.
