About the Role

Product Manager responsible for defining and driving the teacher-facing product vision for Beast Classroom, leading rapid prototyping and iterative discovery with cross-functional teams to build tools that help elementary teachers plan, customize, and teach math effectively. The role emphasizes user research, metrics-driven experimentation, and hands-on prototyping with modern AI and vibe-coding tools.

Job Description

Role

Beast Classroom is hiring a Product Manager to own the teacher-facing experience for a K–5 math curriculum. You will set the vision for onboarding, daily planning, professional learning, and customization features, lead a cross-functional team, and drive a culture of rapid prototyping and iteration to discover and deliver solutions that help teachers teach math effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product development for teacher-facing experiences across onboarding, lesson planning, in-class tools, and professional learning.
  • Run fast-paced discovery, definition, and delivery cycles with Engineering, Design, Curriculum, and Professional Learning partners.
  • Conduct user research in classrooms, develop empathy for teachers, and translate insights into product decisions.
  • Instrument metrics, design experiments, and use data to guide priorities and validate outcomes.
  • Prototype and iterate on solutions, using modern tooling (including AI-native IDEs and vibe coding tools) to accelerate development.
  • Develop the product practice within the company and keep the team informed on trends in education and edtech.

Example Projects

  • Adaptive classroom pacing: build tooling to help teachers create year-long math plans and adapt instruction based on student performance.
  • In-product professional learning: embed skill and product learning into the teacher workflow without creating overload.
  • Customizable content: enable teacher customization while preserving the pedagogical efficacy of crafted materials.

Requirements

  • Strong product management experience with ownership of end-to-end teacher or consumer-facing features; evidence of leading discovery, experimentation, and delivery.
  • Deep user empathy and experience conducting research with users in real contexts.
  • Experience instrumenting metrics and running experiments to inform decisions.
  • Comfort prototyping and iterating; willingness to use modern tooling (AI-native IDEs, vibe coding tools).
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills working with engineering, design, curriculum experts, and professional learning teams.
  • Work authorization to be employed in the U.S.; the company cannot sponsor visas at this time.

Preferred

  • Recent experience building AI-based products.
  • Expertise in data, analytics, and measurement tools for experimentation.
  • Domain knowledge in elementary education or edtech product development.

Location, Travel & Compensation

  • Remote within the continental U.S.; ability to travel approximately monthly to San Diego.
  • Salary range: $135,000–$165,000 plus equity.
