Role
BSI Financial Services is hiring a Product Management Intern for a full-time summer internship to scope, design, and ship working prototypes that bring AI into mortgage servicing. You will own a real problem from day one and build proof-of-concepts using vibe coding tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and scope a high-impact operational problem in mortgage servicing, lending, or data workflows
- Design product solutions including user flows, wireframes, and a concise PRD
- Build functioning proofs-of-concept using AI-assisted/vibe coding tools and write and ship code
- Test and iterate with real end-users inside BSI and collect structured feedback
- Hand off production-ready specifications and working POCs to engineering for MVP development
- Present findings, demo, and roadmap to leadership at the end of the internship
- Collaborate across data engineering, operations, and analytics teams to validate feasibility
Project Areas (examples)
- AI-assisted exception management and workflow automation (Liberator platform)
- Borrower portal experience improvements (MyLoanWeb: payments, statements, ticketing)
- Internal dashboard consolidation and reporting modernization (Databricks, Sigma)
- AI agent prototypes for loan boarding, document review, or investor reporting
Requirements
Must have
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science, or a closely related technical field
- Demonstrated technical ability (shipped personal project, open source contributions, hackathon placements) with links required in application
- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, or another scripting language beyond coursework
- Comfortable using AI coding tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development
- Ability to move from ambiguous problems to working prototypes independently
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to leadership
Preferred
- Prior internship or project experience in fintech, banking, or enterprise software
- Exposure to product management concepts: user stories, PRDs, sprint planning
- Familiarity with data tools: Databricks, Power BI, Sigma, or equivalent
- Experience with low-code/no-code or rapid prototyping tools (Retool, Streamlit, v0)
- Interest in mortgage, lending, or financial services operations
Position Type & Hours
- Full-time summer internship
- Monday through Friday
- Strong performers may be considered for full-time roles after the internship
