Role
HealthBegins is hiring a Product Manager (temporary-to-hire, primarily remote) to lead strategy, roadmap, and execution for digital platforms and learning products that advance health equity. Reporting to the VP of Learning & Innovation, you will set product priorities, translate vision into requirements, and drive delivery across internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive product strategy and roadmap for initiatives including the Social Needs Investment Lab, Health Equity Policy Hub, and HealthBegins Academy (50%).
- Translate vision into use cases, user stories, and actionable product requirements; partner with developers to clarify scope and technical feasibility.
- Scope, manage, and deliver features on time and within budget; lead feature testing and quality assurance.
- Conduct human-centered and participatory design, prototyping, and design research; apply lean startup and business modeling to test sustainability and growth (25%).
- Leverage vibe coding apps and rapid prototyping methods for MVPs and early experiments.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and consulting engagements to ensure inclusive, user-driven product development (15%).
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and coordinate timelines and resources; communicate progress, risks, and decisions across stakeholders.
- Use agile methods and product management tools to track progress, risks, and resources; support continuous improvement of product practices (10%).
Requirements
- Required experience in Medicaid, public health, and/or health equity-focused systems change.
- Required expertise in human-centered design and lean startup/business modeling.
- At least 2 years of progressive product management experience (title not required).
- Proven track record delivering digital products, with strong project and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in analytics, agile methods, and product management tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Ability to regularly work and meet on Pacific Time and willingness to travel occasionally (up to 15%).

Compensation & Logistics
- Salary range (temporary-to-hire): $90,000–$120,000 depending on experience.
