Role
HealthBegins is hiring a Product Manager (temporary-to-hire, primarily remote) to lead product strategy, roadmapping, and execution for digital platforms and learning products that advance health equity. Reporting to the VP of Learning & Innovation, the role owns developing product priorities, translating strategy into requirements, and driving delivery with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Product strategy and roadmap execution (50%): drive the roadmap for the Social Needs Investment Lab and other initiatives, prepare prioritization recommendations for leadership, define use cases/user stories, partner with developers on scope and feasibility, and manage feature delivery, testing, and QA.
- Human-centered design and innovation (25%): lead design research, prototyping, and inclusive participatory design using lean startup methods; apply business modeling and testing for sustainability and growth; leverage vibe coding apps for rapid prototyping and MVP builds.
- Collaboration and stakeholder engagement (15%): coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, Program Managers, and Consulting Directors; occasionally lead client engagements related to product development and digital strategy; manage vendor relationships and communicate progress and risks.
- Operations and process management (10%): use agile methods and product management tools to track progress, risks, and resources, and support continuous improvement of product development practices across the organization.
Requirements
Experience & Competencies
- Required experience in Medicaid, public health, and/or health equity–focused systems change.
- Human-centered design and lean startup/business modeling expertise.
- At least 2 years of progressive product management experience (title optional).
- Proven track record delivering digital products, with strong project and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in analytics, agile methods, and product management tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
Technical Skills (examples provided in posting)

Logistics & Other
- Primarily remote role with some in-person meetings; preference for candidates based in CA, AZ, CO, or MA.

Compensation & Employment Type
- Temporary-to-hire position with a salary range of $90,000–$120,000 depending on experience.
