Role
Product Owner responsible for evolving a live SaaS product for terminal and logistics truck handling. Act as the bridge between market, customers and engineering with end-to-end ownership of product decisions, roadmap and releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and prioritize the product backlog; write user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Run Agile ceremonies independently (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and keep the team in rhythm.
- Coordinate releases close to the market to ensure each iteration delivers measurable value.
- Work directly with customers worldwide to understand workflows and translate feedback into product decisions.
- Monitor market and competition in logistics and recommend timely adjustments.
- Communicate technically with engineering (development team primarily in India) and bridge intercultural communication gaps.
- Use AI tools and rapid prototyping to validate ideas and accelerate documentation and prototypes.
- Occasional weekend work and travel to customers/partners may be required.
Requirements
- Solid technical understanding of software development and the ability to communicate with developers.
- Practical experience with LLMs and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) and hands-on experience with vibe-coding or rapid prototyping.
- Proficient in Agile methods (Scrum or Kanban); able to lead sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken); a third language is a plus.
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills and ownership mentality.
- Relevant background could be business administration, computer science, business informatics, engineering or equivalent experience; skills matter more than degree.
