Product UI Design - Remote

Role

Product UI Designer (Independent Contractor, remote) working to critique, experiment with, and shape how AI understands and simulates multi-modal design workflows across mediums. The position is asynchronous and can be part-time or full-time on a contract basis, starting in late December.

Key Responsibilities

• Work 10–20 hours per week initially, with potential for increased hours based on performance.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a team of designers across disciplines.
• Craft, critique, and review experimental design workflows that integrate frontier AI models.
• Contribute to shaping AI-assisted and multi-modal design processes and prototypes.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional experience in graphic or UI design.
• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
• Strong background in creating high-quality digital or immersive visual designs (websites/apps, brand/marketing assets, and advanced new media).
• Exposure to working with LLMs, generative AI prompting, and vibe coding.
• Proficiency with creative coding tools such as HTML/CSS, Processing, and three.js.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Interview Process

• Short AI interview about your creative process.
• Portfolio review and a writing assessment following the AI interview.

Contract and Payment Terms

• Engagement is as an independent contractor; fully remote and schedule-flexible.
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from employers or clients.
• Payments are made weekly via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.

Start Date

• Role will begin in late December; applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
