Python Full Stack Developer

Role

We are hiring a senior Python Full Stack Developer to work on an AI-native product that orchestrates multiple large language models and synthesizes consensus via a judge model. You will work directly with the founder on a small, fast-moving team, pairing with an agentic coding assistant while retaining full responsibility for design, correctness, testing, and production.

Key Responsibilities

• Ship features end to end from written spec through backend, frontend, tests, and production deployment, covering LLM orchestration, streaming, billing, and analytics.
• Develop AI-natively: productively pair with AI assistants but review and own every change.
• Write and refine technical specs including edge cases, data models, and test plans.
• Own the database layer: design and evolve PostgreSQL schemas, write performant SQL (JSONB, indexing, transactions, migrations), and maintain data integrity.
• Write comprehensive tests: unit, database-backed integration, and end-to-end browser tests.
• Run the quality workflow: engineering plan reviews, design reviews, code reviews, retrospectives, and learnings capture.
• Operate in production: deploy via CI/CD, manage servers over SSH, read logs, manage environment/config and feature flags, and debug live issues.
• Guard quality and safety: prioritize correctness, security, secrets hygiene, and privacy/compliance (e.g., GDPR-style handling).

Requirements

• 5+ years building and shipping production software.
• Strong Python experience; comfortable with async web codebases (e.g., FastAPI).
• Strong SQL/PostgreSQL skills: schema design, query performance, transactions, debugging slow/wrong queries.
• Command-line fluency: git, shell, SSH, reading logs, running/interpreting build/test/deploy commands.
• Frontend capability in modern React + TypeScript codebases (components, state, API integration).
• Testing discipline: write tests by default and consider edge cases and failure modes.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) to ship real work.
• Clear written communication: able to write specs, PR descriptions, and design decisions others can act on.

Nice to Have

• Experience with LLM/AI application development: model orchestration, prompt design, streaming (SSE), evaluations, or tools like litellm.
• CI/CD and cloud ops experience: GitHub Actions, feature-flag-driven releases, deploying to VPS/EC2, nginx, systemd.
• Payments/billing (Stripe), transactional email, or product analytics/ad-platform integrations (GA4, Meta).
• Familiarity with privacy/compliance practices (GDPR, data-subject requests, secrets management).
• Habit of retrospectives and continuous learning.

• Spec-first development followed by engineering/design review before implementation.
• AI-augmented but human-owned: heavy use of AI for drafting/refactoring/testing, with humans owning merges.
• Small team, direct communication, broad ownership across backend, frontend, DB, and deploys.
• Risky changes ship behind feature flags and are validated on beta environments before production.

Compensation & Location

• Pay: Up to ₹50,000 per month.
