About the Role
Lead rapid experimentation and prototype development to validate AI-enabled solutions for last-mile logistics. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to design, build, measure, and hand off PoCs using modern cloud and AI development tools.

Role
The R&D Solution Builder will identify high-potential opportunities in logistics operations, design and execute experiments and PoCs, develop software prototypes, and translate validated solutions into scalable roadmaps. The role emphasizes fast, AI-enabled iteration, cross-functional collaboration, and rigorous measurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Scan industry trends, internal data, and stakeholder feedback to identify and prioritize experiment opportunities.
- Co-design use cases and define PoC scope, users, dependencies, success criteria, and explicit stage gates.
- Develop software prototypes using modern development toolsets (AI-powered IDEs, cloud infrastructure).
- Author experiment briefs including hypotheses, risk registers, rollback plans, and decision gates.
- Measure and analyze results with defined KPIs and baselines to decide whether to scale, iterate, or sunset initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with cyber security, data governance, and operational safety during pilots.
- Document learnings and create playbooks for future initiatives; hand off validated solutions to product and operations teams.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships to drive alignment and support for pilots.
- Stay current with AI developments (LLMs, agentic systems, RAG) and experiment with new tools firsthand.
- Mentor teams on rapid iteration and exemplify AI-enabled agile delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in IT with strong software development or product management experience.
- Web development experience (especially Node and React) and backend development using modern cloud architectures.
- Expertise with AI-enabled development tools and “vibe coding” practices (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).
- Familiarity with LLMs, agentic systems, and RAG approaches.
- Track record of autonomously delivering innovative solutions end-to-end.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to navigate complex organizations and manage multiple projects.
- Experience in logistics & e-commerce is an asset.
