REMOTE PHP LARAVEL DEVELOPER

Role

Kanguru Digital is seeking a remote-first PHP Laravel Developer to build and maintain full-stack web applications. The developer will work with a small collaborative team to implement frontend features with Vue.js and backend services with Laravel 10, focusing on robust architecture and long-term solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack applications using Vue.js (Composition API, TypeScript) and Laravel 10 (PHP).
• Design and integrate REST and JSON:API backends.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases and related data models.
• Collaborate using Git and Bitbucket workflows.
• Use modern development tooling, including Docker-based environments and CI/CD (Jenkins).
• Leverage AI-assisted “vibe coding” tools such as GPT, Cursor, or Claude to improve productivity and code quality.

Requirements

• Must be located in Canada (required for tax and compliance purposes).
• Fluent in English.
• At least 3 years of PHP experience.
• Experience with Vue.js and Laravel.
• Active use of vibe coding/AI-assisted development tools in workflows.

Work Arrangements

• Flexible working hours; 8-hour workday with core hours 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year (currency not specified in posting).
