Role
The Sales Engineer Analyst on the Visa Acceptance Solutions (CyberSource) — North America team is a merchant-facing pre-sales technical role that partners with Direct Sales to acquire new merchants and drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities. This role delivers technical discovery, API-based proof-of-value demonstrations, solution architecture, technical validation, and ongoing pre-sales support for payments integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain expert knowledge of Visa Acceptance Solutions (VAS), CyberSource, and Authorize.net and position those solutions to meet merchants’ business and technical needs
- Conduct technical discovery calls and client-facing demonstrations, including API-based proofs of value
- Create technical architecture diagrams, personalized client presentations, and technical validation documents
- Execute REST API demonstrations in Postman and demonstrate Webhook events via local or external Webhook listeners
- Leverage Vibe Coding and AI/NLP tools to create proof-of-value technical demonstrations and improve sales engineering processes
- Log all activities, notes, presentations, and communications in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint in real time
- Participate in internal knowledge transfer, dry-runs for stakeholder buy-in, and respond to multiple RFI/RFP requests per month
- Collaborate with Direct Sales, Product & Solution Management, Solution Architects, Implementation Support, Client Services, and Marketing to relay market feedback and improve solutions
- Remain responsive across communication channels (chat, email, phone, Microsoft Teams) during business hours
Requirements
Basic
- 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s or an Advanced Degree
- Comfortable presenting to executives and technical stakeholders and articulating complex concepts clearly
- Strong verbal and written communication, organization, note-taking, and CRM maintenance skills
- Ability to travel up to 35%
Preferred
- 3+ years of technical pre-sales experience in the payments industry
- Technical background (e.g., BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related discipline)
- Proven ability to architect technical solutions for merchant requirements
- Experience with CyberSource and/or Visa Acceptance Solutions
- Experience using AI tools and NLP to enhance productivity and create demonstrations
- Prior experience working directly with merchants

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary range (U.S. applicants): $114,200 to $177,000 USD per year (may include potential sales incentive payments)
- May be eligible for bonus and equity
