Role
The Sales Engineer Analyst on Visa’s Acceptance Solutions (CyberSource) North America team supports the Direct to Merchant Sales organization by combining sales acumen and technical expertise to perform discovery, architect merchant payment solutions, and deliver proof-of-value demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain expert knowledge of Visa Acceptance Solutions (VAS), CyberSource, and Authorize.net and position solutions to meet business and technical requirements.
- Conduct technical discovery calls, client-facing presentations, and technical deep-dives; create personalized architectural diagrams and technical validation documents.
- Build and deliver API-based proof-of-value demos using REST APIs (Postman), Webhook events, Vibe Coding, and AI/NLP technologies.
- Log and track all presentations, documents, activities, notes, emails, and calls in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint in real time.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Direct Sales, Solution Architects, Product & Solution Management, Implementation Support, Client Services, and Marketing to relay market feedback and inform solution design.
- Support merchant onboarding and evolving merchant needs, participate in RFIs/RFPs, and help drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of work experience (or advanced degree with 2+ years). Technical background preferred (e.g., BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related).
- Preferred: 3+ years technical pre-sales experience within the payments industry; prior CyberSource and/or payments experience prioritized.
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to architect technical solutions and articulate complex concepts clearly to executives and technical contacts.
- Highly organized with exceptional note-taking abilities and timely CRM maintenance; excellence in follow-ups and task management.
- Ability to travel up to 35%.
