Senior AI-Assisted Software Engineer (Backend, Go/Kotlin) responsible for leading a team of software engineers to design, implement and operate cloud-native backend applications and platform services with deep integration of LLMs and AI-coding tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring for a team of software engineers and promote AI-assisted development practices.
- Design, implement and evolve robust, cloud-native applications and platform services for end users.
- Develop high-performance, scalable backend systems primarily in Go or Kotlin with consistent, deep use of LLMs and modern AI-coding tools.
- Define and integrate synchronous and asynchronous APIs in coordination with frontend and mobile teams.
- Own end-to-end delivery from rapid prototyping to production-ready, scalable solutions.
- Ensure code quality via code reviews, clean-code principles, high test coverage, and performance optimization.
- Analyze and optimize development workflows by applying AI to improve delivery speed and software quality.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable qualification.
- Several years of proven backend development experience with Go or Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI tools and advanced context engineering into development workflows; familiarity with LLM-driven practices.
- Pragmatic understanding of frontend technologies (Vue.js, Angular) and ideally experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
- Demonstrated technical leadership and strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong focus on testability, security and maintainability of codebases.
- Fluent German and very good English for international collaboration.
