Role
As a Senior Application Developer you will ensure business continuity for the Asia Pacific region by designing, building, enhancing, and supporting business-critical full-stack applications. The role covers the full software development lifecycle and includes both new regional solution development and maintenance/optimization of existing applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and technical specifications to design and develop applications for the Asia Pacific region.
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Enhance and maintain existing business applications with a focus on code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
- Configure and integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications to meet regional requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce software development standards and best practices.
- Maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and deployment guides.
- Ensure source code management and version control practices (e.g., Git).
- Provide technical support and act as a key contact for regional business users; diagnose and resolve defects, issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with regional IT teams, stakeholders, and implementation partners to manage application lifecycles and support system consolidation initiatives.
- Support testing, deployment, and continuous enhancement activities while responding to changing business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of professional experience in application development and application support.
- Strong experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on full-stack development and maintenance experience.
- Strong programming skills in Java, C#, JavaScript, SQL, and the .NET Framework.
- Experience configuring and integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
- Experience with debugging, unit testing, and software quality assurance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
- Knowledge or experience with AI-assisted (“vibe”) coding is an advantage.
