Senior Architect , Development

Role

Senior Architect responsible for defining and owning the end-to-end technical architecture for Aptean’s Apparel ERP product suite. The role drives brownfield modernization, architecture governance, and engineering productivity improvements while stabilizing legacy components and enabling high-quality releases for global customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own product architecture for Apparel ERP across backend and frontend layers.
• Lead brownfield system stabilization, large-scale refactoring, and modernization initiatives.
• Drive architectural decisions across .NET/C# backend and Angular/Ext JS frontend.
• Introduce and institutionalize “vibe coding” practices to improve developer flow and delivery velocity.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, architectural principles, and design best practices.
• Conduct architecture, design, and critical code reviews; ensure code stability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, and DevOps to translate requirements into scalable technical designs and align CI/CD and release processes.
• Mentor and groom engineers and senior developers; provide technical leadership during customer escalations and performance challenges.
• Identify technical debt and design remediation roadmaps; participate in strategic roadmap and technology adoption decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum 18+ years of overall experience with a hands-on approach to solving problems.
• Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degrees listed as possible).
• Proven experience in product and solution architecture, especially in brownfield modernization and refactoring.
• Strong experience with .NET/C# on the backend and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular and Ext JS.
• Experience driving DevOps/CI/CD improvements and release stability.
• Ability to work shifts as required to overlap with UK/US customers or stakeholders.
