Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Role

Senior Azure DevOps Engineer responsible for leading and evolving an Azure-based DevOps platform to ensure secure, reliable, and fast software delivery. The role involves platform engineering, CI/CD standardization, security and compliance, and mentoring engineers across teams in India and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute DevOps strategy and roadmap; track progress against milestones and KPIs.
• Design, operate, and standardize Azure DevOps pipelines for .NET/C# projects (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts).
• Automate infrastructure and platform configuration using PowerShell and ARM/Bicep; enforce configuration-as-code.
• Manage CI/CD and release practices including templates, artifact versioning, deployment rings, and rollbacks.
• Enable automated test execution in pipelines for frameworks such as xUnit, Jest, Cypress, and JMeter; provision and manage test environments for integration and performance testing.
• Embed security into pipelines (SCA/SAST, secret scanning), enforce policy via Azure DevOps, maintain RBAC and secrets hygiene using Entra ID.
• Operate and maintain uptime/SLOs for shared DevOps services and participate in on-call rotations (IST hours).
• Administer and govern Atlassian tools (Jira workflows, Confluence spaces) and integrations for release notes/runbooks.
• Mentor engineers, drive a DevOps community of practice, and collaborate with developers, QA, and architects.
• Identify and implement AI/LLM use cases and AI-assisted tooling (AI agents for build monitoring and vibe coding) to improve efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

• Senior: 8–10 years in DevOps/Platform Engineering with strong Azure DevOps experience. Principal: 10+ years with strategic leadership experience.
• Core technical skills: Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts), PowerShell, .NET/C# build tooling, basic Azure fundamentals, Jira/Confluence administration, observability practices.
• Experience enforcing DevSecOps practices (SCA/SAST, secret scanning), RBAC and identity management (Entra ID).
• Experience with automated test integration in CI/CD and provisioning test environments.
• Participation in on-call rotations and ability to support occasional off-hours (IST-aligned).
