Senior Creative Technologist, iOS, Search

Role

Senior Creative Technologist (iOS, Search) responsible for designing and delivering production-ready iOS prototypes, driving interaction and motion design, and collaborating with UX designers and engineers to test feasibility and inform product experiences within Google Search.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceive, build, and deliver engaging prototypes for iteration, research, and validation on iOS.
• Test concepts and deliver production-ready prototypes that demonstrate feasibility and inform early-stage production.
• Identify emerging needs and develop interaction design best practices and pattern documentation.
• Lead or contribute to projects with a systems-thinking approach, advocating for user needs across platforms.
• Partner with engineers to investigate technologies, constraints, and implementation approaches.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in iOS development, technical UX design, and prototyping.
• 6 years of front-end execution experience for the iOS platform using Swift.
• Experience in motion design related to physics, patterns, and visual design elements.
• Portfolio, website, or work samples provided via resume link/access instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
• ~5 years of technical leadership and project management experience.
• Experience with vibe coding tools (AI Studio, Cursor, Antigravity, Firebase Studio).
• Familiarity working across full tech stacks and production environments and knowledge of iOS technical constraints.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.

Location & Compensation

• Preferred working locations: San Francisco, CA; Mountain View, CA; New York, NY.
• US base salary range (base only): $151,000 - $222,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
