Job Description
Role
Senior Data Scientist responsible for designing and implementing advanced statistical and AI/ML solutions to strengthen product safety decision-making. The role emphasizes semantic analysis, interpretability, efficiency, and deployment in modern cloud environments to support an AI-powered product safety Sentinel model.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage semantic (“vibe”) coding techniques to uncover patterns from structured and unstructured data and translate results into clear narratives via data storytelling and visualization.
- Design, develop, and maintain AI techniques and predictive models (supervised and unsupervised) for anomaly detection, classification, regression, and pattern recognition.
- Rigorously evaluate model performance using metrics such as precision, recall, F1-score, AUC, and related measures to ensure reliability and fairness.
- Explore and apply emerging technologies and novel methods to improve efficiency, interpretability, and scalability of solutions.
- Implement and optimize automated pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and cloud deployment practices for scalable model delivery (Azure).
- Collaborate in Agile teams using Git-based version control and contribute to iterative delivery and shared problem-solving.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years designing and developing statistical and AI/ML models, including regression, classification, NLP, and predictive analytics.
- 3+ years hands-on Python experience (Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- 3+ years experience in cloud environments (Azure); certifications are a plus.
- 2+ years experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Advanced proficiency with dashboard and visualization tools (Power BI or equivalent).
- Experience integrating semantic coding techniques into ML workflows.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for data storytelling.
- Experience with Git-based version control and collaborative Agile development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s, Ph.D., or equivalent professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
