Role
As a Senior Developer Advocate on the Auth0 team, you will shape and deliver deeply technical developer-facing content, represent developer needs across product and engineering, and grow developer engagement through events and community channels. You will identify trends, influence roadmap and documentation, and proactively solve technical challenges to improve adoption of Auth0/Okta identity solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute developer advocacy strategy and identify high-impact channels, events, and partners to maximize engagement and adoption.
- Cultivate and grow relationships with developers and technical leaders across online platforms and in-person/remote events (conferences, panels, meetups).
- Create high-quality technical content: blog posts, tutorials, documentation, videos, and code samples that translate complex concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
- Review early documentation, SDKs, and product capabilities; provide feedback to Product and Engineering from a content and developer-experience perspective.
- Champion developer needs internally, bringing insights and feedback to influence product improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Developer Content, and Developer Marketing to align content strategy with business goals.
Requirements
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience; able to create and validate technical samples and demos.
- Proven experience inspiring developer audiences via public speaking and technical content.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills; able to translate complex technical topics into clear content.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across engineering, product, and marketing.
- Familiarity with AI tooling and “vibe coding” experience as noted in the role.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in developer advocacy, senior technical content, or technical customer success roles.
- Experience with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, or LDAP.
- Understanding of core security concepts (password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, XSRF).
- Experience building web, mobile, and IoT applications, including front-end and back-end frameworks.
Compensation & Location
- Annual base salary range for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area: $159,000—$239,000 USD.
- Role is listed as remote (“#LI-Remote”); some travel may be required for in-person onboarding or events.
