Role
Senior Director, Assessment Innovation & Product at BTS — a global COE-level leadership role responsible for defining and driving the assessment innovation roadmap, integrating AI responsibly, building proprietary intellectual property, and translating methodological advances into scalable, revenue-generating offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead a global assessment innovation roadmap aligned to strategy and market trends.
- Design, prototype, and validate new assessment methodologies (simulations, hybrid tools, adaptive assessments, AI-enabled approaches).
- Ensure methodological rigor, fairness, and ethical application across innovations.
- Lead responsible integration of AI into design, scoring, interpretation, and delivery; partner with Digital and Data Science teams to prototype and operationalize AI methods.
- Explore and test emerging development approaches (e.g., low-code/no-code tools, vibe coding) to accelerate innovation.
- Build, codify, and protect proprietary IP; contribute to IP investment and positioning decisions.
- Partner with commercial and account teams to translate innovations into client-facing propositions and support go-to-market efforts.
- Serve as a senior scientific and innovation voice across the COE and enable regional teams to adopt new methodologies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field with 15+ years of experience, or PhD with 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Deep expertise in assessment science, psychometrics, and research methods.
- Demonstrated experience developing or evolving assessment methodologies and intellectual property.
- Strong understanding of AI, digital assessment tools, and emerging technologies.
- Proven ability to translate technical expertise into client value and influence senior stakeholders across disciplines and geographies.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and shaping direction without a predefined playbook; curiosity and creativity toward building next-generation solutions.
Location & Travel
- Global role; open to hiring in a BTS hub with flexibility. Travel expectations approximately 20–30%.
Salary
- Annual salary range listed for this level: $190,000 - $210,000 (starting salary determined by experience and education).
