Job Description
Role
Senior Electrical Engineer and Office Leader responsible for technical leadership of electrical infrastructure design for advanced semiconductor and high-tech industrial facilities, while serving as a visible office leader driving culture, staff development, client relationships, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering design and planning for complex, large-scale semiconductor and high-tech projects across conceptual design, load analysis, and construction administration within a design-build delivery framework.
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership and oversight to electrical project teams; ensure coordinated, code-compliant construction documents and QA/QC reviews.
- Design LV and MV power distribution systems including switchgear, substations, transformers, MCCs, switchboards, busway, and critical power pathways; focus on selectivity, coordination, and arc flash mitigation.
- Perform and oversee power system studies using SKM PowerTools, ETAP, and EasyPower (short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, harmonics, motor starting studies).
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; develop standards, master specifications, templates, and study protocols to improve consistency and delivery speed.
- Integrate electrical design with multidisciplinary teams to ensure constructability and operational performance.
- Serve as office leader: cultivate inclusive culture, align local goals with firm strategy, manage office facilities and budgets for training and development, and run knowledge-sharing activities.

- Proven leadership in managing electrical design teams through all project phases within a design-build model and experience in office leadership/people management.
- Strong communication, presentation, client-facing, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience performing power system studies and applying industry codes and standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA guidance) in electrical design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with wafer fabrication facility electrical design, sub-fab distribution strategies, and process tool electrical utility matrices.
- Knowledge of arc-resistant switchgear design, selective coordination strategies, and NFPA 70E arc flash mitigation techniques.
- Experience with utility coordination for large industrial loads, primary metering, and onsite generation interconnects.
- LEED AP or familiarity with IECC / ASHRAE 90.1 energy codes and energy-efficiency strategies.
- NCEES Record and ability to obtain PE licensure in multiple states.
- Demonstrated success implementing new technologies (including AI) into design workflows and leading organizational change.
