Job Description

Role

Senior Engineer responsible for advancing Ally Logistics’ proprietary shipper TMS by designing, building, and shipping high-velocity features. This is a hybrid product/engineering role that includes defining requirements, making UI/UX decisions, building integrations, and owning projects end-to-end with minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and ship features for Ally’s shipper TMS with emphasis on usability, performance, and reliability
  • Translate logistics workflows into intuitive, scalable software
  • Act as both product manager and engineer: identify opportunities, define requirements, and execute
  • Leverage modern development tools (Replit, Cursor, Claude, and similar) to prototype and release functionality rapidly
  • Collaborate with the CEO and internal stakeholders to shape product strategy
  • Drive UI/UX decisions across web-based tools and integrations
  • Build and maintain integrations with internal systems, carriers, and third-party logistics tools
  • Make pragmatic technical decisions balancing speed, quality, and scalability
  • Monitor production systems and proactively improve stability and performance
  • Continuously iterate based on customer feedback and business priorities
  • Break down ambiguous problems into actionable solutions and ship quickly

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product engineering experience
  • Proven ability to build and ship full-stack applications using Replit or other vibe coding platforms
  • Experience owning projects independently with minimal oversight
  • Understanding of logistics workflows and operational realities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Experience managing business priorities and aligning technology with business needs
