Role
Engineering Manager / Senior Engineering Manager responsible for leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams building modern, AI-driven products (agentic AI). You will manage 15–20 engineers, provide technical leadership across frontend and backend systems, and ensure scalable, secure, and observable production platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage 15–20 engineers across multiple teams; own hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
- Drive a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and high ownership.
- Provide technical ownership across frontend and backend systems; drive architecture, system design, and technical decision-making.
- Review designs and critical code paths; guide teams through complex engineering challenges.
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and observable.
- Lead or contribute to building LLM-based agents and agentic AI products, including agent orchestration, tool usage, context management, and evaluation.
- Partner with Product Managers to translate requirements into execution plans; own delivery commitments and sprint execution across PODs.
- Proactively identify risks and ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.
Preferred Technical Skills
- Frontend: React, JavaScript
- Backend (preferred): Java with Spring Boot; Python with FastAPI
- Experience designing and scaling distributed systems and APIs
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS or GCP
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and observability tools
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms, prompt engineering, MLOps, agent orchestration, and conversational/voice AI is a plus
Requirements / Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in engineering roles with demonstrated people leadership and technical ownership
- Hands-on experience or strong exposure to building LLM-based agents or agentic AI systems
- Strong full-stack awareness with backend expertise preferred
- Proven track record of delivering production-grade, scalable systems and managing multiple teams or PODs
