Job Description
Role
ZoomInfo is building a Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) function. As a Senior FDE you will embed with strategic enterprise accounts, define engagements, and deliver bespoke intelligence applications that combine ZoomInfo data with customers’ first-party systems. You will own engagements end-to-end: discovery, design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing governance.
Typical Engagements
- Large-scale entity resolution and hierarchy management across CRM, ERP, billing, and marketing systems.
- Location-level enrichment and firmographic precision for geo-based GTM teams.
- Automated orchestration and no-human-in-the-loop logic for suppression, disposition, and parent-child linkages.
- Moving analysis into cloud warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery) and building pipelines and APIs for operational use.
- TAM/SOM/SAM development, white-space discovery, and buying-group filtering.
What You’ll Build
- A data foundation: persistent IDs, golden-reference matching, unified entity profiles.
- Data management logic: custom disposition rules, duplicate resolution, account models.
- Activation layers: addressable market buildouts, fit scoring, and in-market signals.
- Automation and governance: orchestration rules, CRM field locking, and warehouse integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own strategic customer engagements as the primary technical contact.
- Run discovery with data engineers and revenue stakeholders; diagnose root causes and scope solutions.
- Design and implement production-quality code and data pipelines that customers use daily.
- Bridge technical and business audiences: present architecture, ROI, and strategy to stakeholders.
- Document repeatable playbooks, integration patterns, deliverable templates, and success metrics.
- Drive stickiness and identify expansion opportunities within customer accounts.
Requirements
- Strong software and data engineering fundamentals; production-quality code.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Comfortable working with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar).
- Experience building data pipelines, entity matching/deduplication logic, API integrations, and user-facing applications.
- Customer-facing technical experience (solutions engineering, consulting, TAM, or similar).
- Comfort with ambiguity, high ownership, and the ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes.
- Familiarity with CRM and GTM data concepts (Salesforce, HubSpot, enrichment tooling) is preferred but not required.
- Experience using LLM-based development environments (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) in the development workflow is expected.
Compensation
- US base salary range listed: $143,500—$225,500 USD. Additional compensation (bonus, commission, equity) and benefits may apply and vary by work location.
