Role

Mercor is hiring a Senior Front-End Developer (freelance) to develop prompt-based training data and evaluation rubrics for client-side web development tasks. The role contributes to improving AI model performance on real-world frontend development problems by producing high-quality, verifiable vibe coding data.

Key Responsibilities

• Write realistic, self-contained prompts for client-side web apps, games, tools, and simulations.
• Create precise, binary (pass/fail) rubrics tagged by verification type that are verifiable via screenshots and code inspection.
• Ensure all rubric items are verifiable and unambiguous.
• Develop high-quality vibe coding data focused on state management, interactivity, UI correctness, and robustness.
• Collaborate with AI research labs to improve model performance on frontend tasks.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and contribute to model evaluation pipelines.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in frontend/full-stack development or technical content creation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or vanilla JavaScript.
• Comfortable writing precise technical specifications and evaluation criteria.

Compensation & Logistics

• Type: Freelance/Contract
• Compensation: $70–$80 per hour
• Duration: 1–2 months
• Commitment: 15–25 hours/week with flexibility up to 40 hours/week
