Role
Axle seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer to support the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) at the NIH in Rockville, MD. The developer will build scalable, reliable TypeScript applications (Node.js and Angular 19+), implement responsive web UIs, and contribute to prototyping, testing, and deployment workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable applications in TypeScript using Node.js and Angular 19+.
- Design, implement, and consume RESTful web services.
- Implement modern, responsive user interfaces for web and multiple devices.
- Participate in agile development: prototyping, testing, code reviews, and team collaboration.
- Write robust unit and end-to-end tests.
- Work with containers and orchestration tools and integrate DevOps pipelines.
- Leverage GenAI technologies to assist development and workflows.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- 3+ years experience as a full-stack developer.
- Experience with Node.js and Angular 19+.
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL).
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Experience writing unit and end-to-end tests.
- Experience using GenAI technologies (examples: CursorAI, Cline, Windsurf).
- Experience with data visualization technologies (e.g., D3.js).
