Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (React / React Native / Node / AWS)

Role

Clever Benefits is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain production-ready features across their React web app, React Native mobile app, backend services, and AWS infrastructure. This is a hands-on position working closely with a small engineering team to build and scale the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack features end-to-end (frontend, mobile, backend, infrastructure).
• Collaborate with a small engineering team to design and ship production-quality functionality.
• Own feature lifecycle from design through deployment and maintenance.
• Work with AWS-hosted services and backend tooling to ensure reliable operation and scalability.
• Leverage AI tools and automation to accelerate development while prioritizing maintainability and code quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise with TypeScript.
• Production experience with React, React Native, and Node.js.
• Solid background with AWS services (Lambda, ECS / Fargate, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Experience with Prisma, PostgreSQL, and tRPC.
• Comfortable working full stack and owning features from design through deployment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment; onsite 2 days/week in North Scottsdale.
• Must reside within 30 miles of North Scottsdale.
• Interest in using AI (code generation, automation) to accelerate development while focusing on maintainable, high-quality engineering.

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile app distribution workflows (TestFlight / Play Store).
• Familiarity with monorepos and pnpm/bun workspaces or similar setups.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (CDK, Terraform).

Location & Work Arrangement

• Hybrid: onsite 2 days per week in North Scottsdale.
• Candidates must live within a 30-mile radius of North Scottsdale.
