Role
Senior Solution Specialist (Identity Governance) on Okta’s Global Presales team responsible for driving technical customer engagements and demonstrating how Okta Identity Governance solves complex identity challenges. The role delivers executive messaging, technical discovery, customized demos, and outcome-focused proofs of concept that show integration across SaaS, on‑premises, and disconnected applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic customer conversations with technical and engineering leaders to align Okta solutions with business outcomes.
- Perform technical discovery focused on endpoint security, passwordless adoption, identity threat vectors, and Joiner‑Mover‑Leaver flows.
- Design and deliver customized demonstrations, architectural sessions, and outcome‑focused POCs for Okta Identity Governance.
- Create and maintain reusable demo systems, diagrams, documentation, and POC templates for presales use.
- Develop AI‑based delivery and enablement functionality and other reusable assets for field teams.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Solutions Engineering teams and collaborate with the Office of the Field CTO to inform product and engineering teams.
- Deliver keynote presentations, webinars, and technical sessions at industry and customer events.
- Drive field enablement, partner with sales leadership, and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives and GTM alignment.
- Represent Okta in the market and influence industry standards and advisory boards.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in identity and directory services, including Active Directory and Azure AD/Entra ID, GPOs, Kerberos, and OIDC/SAML protocols.
- Experience with multi‑IdP ecosystems (e.g., Okta, Ping Identity, Google Workspace) and hybrid identity synchronization.
- Hands‑on experience with identity governance and GRC solutions (examples listed include SailPoint, Saviynt, Oracle Governance, Lumos).
- Experience designing and delivering POCs and technical demos that integrate across SaaS and on‑prem systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for executive and technical audiences.
- Experience with low‑code/no‑code automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Workato) and the ability to create reusable presales assets.
- Travel up to 40% for customer meetings, events, and off‑sites.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Hands‑on experience with Okta Identity Governance and other IGA vendors (SailPoint, Saviynt, Oracle Governance).
- Familiarity with PAM concepts and tools (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, Okta Privileged Access).
- Relevant certifications (CIDP, CISSP, CCSP, CISM).
- Scripting or automation skills such as Python or PowerShell.
- Vibe coding experience with Claude and Vercel.
