Senior .NET Engineer

Role

Senior .NET Engineer joining a cross-functional team to evaluate, decompose and rebuild tax-lifecycle technology for a global audit and advisory client. The role emphasizes backend development, architecture participation, stakeholder communication, and delivering high-quality, testable, and performant code across the SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop back-end functionality and new services using .NET/C#.
• Participate in code and architectural reviews and document architecture decisions.
• Communicate with PMs, developers, architects, QA and other stakeholders.
• Proactively contribute to solution design and process improvements.
• Deliver on the product roadmap and plan for future development.
• Troubleshoot complex problems and provide rapid field support.
• Ensure high coding standards: testability, automation-readiness and performance.
• Use AI tools to accelerate and improve development productivity (e.g., GitHub Copilot).

Requirements

• More than 4 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong C# and .NET expertise.
• Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals: OOP, algorithms, data structures.
• Design and architectural knowledge: DDD, SOLID, enterprise patterns.
• Testing practices: TDD, BDD and experience with testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest).
• Database theory: RDBMS and NoSQL; experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, DynamoDB.
• Experience with ORMs (Entity Framework, Dapper).
• Familiarity with key-value stores (Redis, Memcached).
• Understanding of network protocols and API design (HTTP/REST), authentication and authorization.
• Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ, ServiceBus).
• Basic containerization and orchestration knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud providers (example: Azure).
• Version control experience (Git).
• Exposure to AI developer tools (preferably GitHub Copilot) and exposure to Vibe coding.
• Upper-intermediate English or above.

Desirable

• Experience with search engines (ElasticSearch, Azure Search).
• Experience building REST APIs for mobile applications.
• Experience integrating with third-party solutions.
