Role
As a Senior Planning Associate on the Financial Solutions team, you will develop and document financial planning methodologies, conduct research on customer outcomes, and translate models into prototypes and functional tools for representatives and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial planning research and assist in creating planning methodologies and related collateral.
- Identify and access data needed for methodology research and development.
- Analyze the impact of planning frameworks and decisions on customer behavior and outcomes.
- Design and develop prototypes and work with technology partners to implement them.
- Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 1–3 years of relevant financial services experience.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with quantitative model construction, data analytics, and/or data science.
- Programming experience in Python, R, SQL, Java, or VBA.
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Interest in financial planning and pursuing the CFP designation is preferred.
- Working knowledge of generative AI and Vibe coding is a plus.
Team
The Financial Solutions team develops the financial planning methodologies that support Fidelity’s advice and guidance for wealth, brokerage, and workplace clients, conducts research, and contributes to product development and innovation in planning.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $85,000–$171,000 USD per year.
- Total compensation may include bonus or other variable compensation where applicable.

Additional Notes
